'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial major achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he earlier was, and would definitely contemplate extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract talks could begin in the upcoming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring record continues to astound
